The release of the sane-backends package 1.3.1 has been announced, which includes a set of drivers, the command-line utility scanimage, the background process saned for network scanning, and libraries implementing the SANE-API. The project's code is distributed under the GPLv2 license. Release 1.3.0 was skipped due to issues in the build infrastructure. <\/p>\n

The package supports 1804 (previously 1747) models of scanners, of which 825 (815) have complete support for all functions, 825 (780) have good support, 130 (129) have acceptable support, and 24 (23) have minimal support. Additionally, for 499 (464) devices, there is an implementation of drivers that has not been fully tested. Support for 478 (470) scanners remains unimplemented. <\/p>\n
