nxs-data-anonymizer 1.9.0 has been released \u2014 a tool for anonymizing dumps of PostgreSQL and MySQL\/MariaDB\/Percona databases. The tool is written in Go and is released under the Apache License 2.0. <\/p>\n

The program supports data anonymization based on templates and functions from the Sprig library. Nxs-data-anonymizer can be used through unnamed channels (pipe) in the command line to redirect a dump from the source database directly to the target database with the necessary transformations. The anonymization process can be indexed \u2014 progress data is output at specified intervals. External commands can be specified by adding to the value of the column \u2018type: command\u2019, which allows setting the field values. <\/p>\n

Depending on the entity types in the security settings, the tool anonymizes columns for tables with rules described in the filters section. If a table contains no rules, the data will still be reliably protected, as the anonymizer will not include them in the resulting dump. <\/p>\n

The new version has added a \u2018Link\u2019 block to the column filter, which allows linking the anonymization of database entities across different tables. This block contains the rules by which the tool anonymizes related columns in the specified configuration tables throughout the database. Thus, cells in certain columns that had the same values before anonymization will have the same values after anonymization. <\/p>\n

Additionally, the capability to work with one-off generated data using global variables has been introduced through a specially developed module, which ensures generation with the possibility of use in filters.
