The NASDAQ technology index reportedly fell by 3.6% to 17,342 points \u2014 its lowest level since 2022. The American stock index NASDAQ 100, which includes shares of the 100 most valuable companies on the exchange, lost over $1 trillion in a single day, while the total market capitalization of the seven leading technology companies dropped by $760 billion within that same day. <\/p>\n

Following their lead, shares of cryptocurrency-related companies, such as mining firms, also declined on Thursday. The stock of Coinbase lost 2.3% in value, while Riot Platforms and Marathon Digital saw losses of 3.4\u20134%.<\/p>\n
