Linus Torvalds has issued new criticism regarding the support methods for Bcachefs in the main Linux kernel. The essence of the complaints is that Kent Overstreet, the author of Bcachefs, always submits numerous changes at the last moment before the release of another pre-release version ('-RC'), and this time his changes caused the build of 6.12-RC1 to fail on big-endian systems when Bcachefs is enabled, as the patches were only tested in Kent's local branch and were not reviewed by other participants. <\/p>\n
As a result, the pull request was accepted, but a discussion arose regarding testing, continuous integration systems, and community interaction, where several people pointed out that Kent apparently has issues in collaborating with other developers and believes he is always right, which creates problems for the project in the main kernel body.
