Cloudflare has released version 0.4 of the Pingora framework, designed for developing secure high-performance network services in Rust. A proxy built using Pingora has been running on the Cloudflare content delivery network for over two years instead of nginx, processing more than 40 million requests per second. The code is written in Rust and is published under the Apache 2.0 license. <\/p>\n

Support for HTTP\/1 and HTTP\/2 (with plans for HTTP\/3), as well as the ability to create services that use their protocols or UDP\/TCP. <\/li>\n
Support for multithreaded request processing in asynchronous mode. <\/li>\n
The ability to attach callback handlers and filters to manage various stages of request processing, as well as to modify, redirect, block, and log requests and responses. <\/li>\n
gRPC and WebSocket proxying. <\/li>\n
Pluggable load balancers. <\/li>\n
