A preliminary testing program has been proposed to evaluate the new capabilities of the platform. Firmware builds have been prepared for devices including Pixel 6\/6a\/6 Pro, Pixel 7\/7a\/7 Pro, Pixel 8\/8a\/8 Pro, Pixel 9\/9 Pro\/9 Pro XL\/9 Pro Fold, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet.    <\/p>\n<p>The preliminary release has been formed three months earlier than in the preparation of past versions due to the transition to a new development schedule, which states that there will be not one significant release of Android each year, but two releases \u2014 the first in the second quarter (instead of the third as before), and the second in the fourth quarter. The summer release will include significant innovations, behavioral changes in the SDK, and new APIs.
