This version allows access to new package versions developed for the OpenMandriva Lx 6 branch without waiting for a traditional distribution to be formed. ISO images sized 2.3-3.2 GB with desktop environments KDE5, KDE6 with Wayland, KDE6 with X11, GNOME, Cosmic, and LXQt, supporting boot in Live mode, are prepared for download.       <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Release Features:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> The formation of builds with the alpha version of the COSMIC desktop environment, written in Rust, has begun.\n<li class=\"l\"> Components of the KDE desktop environment have been updated to versions KDE Plasma 6.2.4, KDE Gears 24.08.3, KDE Frameworks 6.8.0, and Qt 6.8.0. By default, the graphics stack based on X11 continues to be used, but an ISO image with KDE Plasma 6 based on Wayland has also been prepared. Additionally, builds and packages with KDE Plasma 5.27 and Qt 5.15 are available.     <center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Release of OpenMandriva ROME 24.12\"
