The Hyprland 0.46 compositing server has been introduced, utilizing the Wayland protocol. The project is aimed at a tiling window layout but also supports traditional freeform window placement, tabbed window grouping, pseudo-tile mode, and fullscreen window expansion. Features are offered for creating visually appealing interfaces: gradients in window borders, background blur, animation effects, and shadows. Plugins can be connected to extend functionality, and IPC over sockets is provided for external management. The code is written in C++ and is distributed under the BSD license. <\/p>\n

Configuration is done through a configuration file, changes to which are applied on the fly without restarting. To enhance gaming performance, there is an option to disable vertical synchronization (VSync) with a frame-damping impulse, used to prevent tearing. Other features include dynamically created virtual desktops; screen element layout modes; global hotkey handling; gesture control on touchpads\/touchscreens. <\/p>\n
