The release of the NetBSD 10.1 operating system is available, supporting 58 system architectures and 16 CPU families. In addition to portability and support for a wide range of hardware platforms, the NetBSD operating system offers features such as the NVMM hypervisor, the NPF firewall, the pkgin package manager, the pkgsrc package repository, the veriexec integrity control mechanism, W^X mode (memory pages cannot be simultaneously writable and executable), ZFS file system support, and cgd disk encryption. Installation images (640 MB) have been prepared for 56 architectures (epoc32 and ia64 are excluded). <\/p>\n

The project supports 8 primary ports: NetBSD: amd64, i386, evbarm, evbmips, evbppc, hpcarm, sparc64, and xen, as well as 49 secondary ports related to CPUs such as alpha, hppa, m68010, m68k, sh3, sparc, and vax. Secondary ports are still supported, but they have either become outdated or do not have enough developers interested in their development. One port (acorn26) is included in the third category, which contains non-functional ports that are candidates for removal if no enthusiasts express interest in their development. <\/p>\n
