Notable features of labwc include minimalism, compact implementation, extensive customization options, and high performance. Animated effects, gradients, and icons, except for window buttons, are intentionally not supported. The project's code is written in C and is distributed under the GPLv2 license.      <\/p>\n<p>The foundation uses the wlroots library, developed by the Sway desktop environment developers, and provides the basic functions for operating a compositor manager based on Wayland. It is possible to connect plugins that implement features such as taking screenshots, displaying wallpapers on the desktop, and placing panels and menus. To run X11 applications in a Wayland-based environment, the use of the XWayland DDX component is supported. The theme, basic menu, and hotkeys are customizable through configuration files in XML format. There is built-in support for high-density pixel screens (HiDPI).      <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the built-in root menu, configurable through the menu.xml file, you can connect third-party application menu implementations such as bemenu, fuzzel, and wofi. Waybar, sfwbar, Yambar, or LavaLauncher can be used as a panel. For managing monitor connections and changing their settings, it is recommended to use wlr-randr or kanshi. Screen locking is done using swaylock.         <\/p>\n<p>In the new version:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Support for the Wayland protocol ext-workspace has been added, intended for implementation <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/en\/vps\/abuzoustojchivye-vps\/\"   title=\"virtual desktops\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"1083\">virtual desktops<\/a> and events with information on the state of desktops.\n<li class=\"l\"> The menu implementation has been improved. It is now possible to place icons in the menu. Support for top-level pop-up menus for dynamic menu generation has been implemented.\n<li class=\"l\"> Numerous fixes aimed at improving performance and enhancing usability have been made.\n<li
