Ilya Chugin (x512) and Gerasim Troeglazov (3dEyes) showcased new advancements in porting NVIDIA graphics drivers for the Haiku operating system. The port is being developed based on open modules for the Linux kernel released by NVIDIA and used in its proprietary drivers, along with the Vulkan driver NVK from the Mesa collection. A distinguishing feature of the applied approach is the ability to avoid porting the Nouveau driver from the Linux kernel, which relies on Libdrm and Linux-specific kernel subsystems. It has been demonstrated that at the current stage of port development, hardware-accelerated games such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R. \u2014 Clear Sky (openxray), Doom 3 (dhewm3), Minecraft (1.20.4), and AssaultCube can be successfully launched.
