The release of the T2 SDE 25.4 meta-distribution has been published, providing an environment for creating custom distributions, cross-compilation, and keeping package versions up to date. Notable distributions built on the T2 system include Puppy Linux. The project offers 25 bootable ISO images with minimal graphical environments available with Musl, uClibc, and Glibc libraries. Builds with graphical environments based on GNOME and Wayland are prepared for current architectures. <\/p>\n
The platform focuses on building distributions based on the Linux kernel, but prototypes are separately developed to allow for package building for various operating systems, including macOS, Haiku, and BSD systems. There are plans to support the creation of environments based on other kernels, such as L4, Fuchsia, and RedoxOS, as well as building distributions based on Android (AOSP). Over 5000 packages are available for building. <\/p>\n
T2 supports 25 hardware architectures used in both modern embedded systems and outdated equipment. For example, support is provided for gaming consoles like Nintendo Wii U and Sony PS3, as well as workstations from SGI, Sun, and HP. For some architectures, operation in environments with 512 MB of RAM is possible. Ready-made builds have been prepared for the Alpha, Arc, ARM64, Avr32, HPPA64, IA64, Loongarch64, M68k, Microblaze, MIPS64, Nios2, OpenRISC, PowerPC 64, RISC-V 64, s390x, SPARC 64, SuperH, i486, x86-64, and x32 architectures. <\/p>\n

A simple installer, \"Web Installer,\" has been implemented, providing the ability to replace previously installed Linux systems or create new system environments (sys-root or containers).\n
Support for the AMD ROCm stack has been added for RISC-V and ARM64 systems, which can be used to accelerate machine learning operations.\n
OpenCL support is enabled by default in Mesa.\n
Packages with Rust and QEMU have been added for sparc64\/32 architectures.\n
Support for ReiserFS and Orinoco (AirPort) wireless drivers, which were removed from the Linux kernel, has been restored.\n
A new system for using alternative implementations of standard programs and libraries, such as libjpeg-turbo and sdl-compat, has been proposed.\n
Work has been done to move dependencies into the optional category.\n
Work has progressed on creating a fully dynamic dependency resolution system. Setting priority for packages using the \"Priority\" tag is no longer mandatory.\n
A total of 527 packages or new features have been added, 4,558 packages updated, and 138 packages removed. For example, updates include Linux kernel 6.14, GCC 14.2, LLVM\/Clang 20.1, Glibc 2.41, Musl 1.2.5, uClibC 1.0.49, Mesa 25.0.3.\n
