The release of Chrome OS 135 has been presented, based on the Linux kernel, the upstart system manager, ebuild\/portage build tools, open components, and the Chrome 135 web browser. The user environment of Chrome OS is limited to the web browser, and web applications are utilized instead of standard software; nevertheless, Chrome OS includes a full multi-window interface, desktop, and taskbar. Screen output is handled by the Freon graphics stack (work is underway to transition to using Wayland) and the Aura window manager. The source code is distributed under the Apache 2.0 free license. The Chrome OS 135 build is available for most current models of Chromebook. An edition called Chrome OS Flex is offered for use on standard computers. <\/p>\n

A new Bluetooth stack based on Fluoride, migrated from the Android platform and continuing the development of Broadcom's BlueDroid stack, has been implemented in ChromeOS Flex. To revert to the old stack, you can use the setting chrome:\/\/flags\/#bluetooth-use-floss.\n
The application launcher interface (Launcher) has added the ability to search images not only by filename but also by content.\n
For Bluetooth mice, the fast pairing mode (Fast Pair) has been enabled. When a new mouse is turned on or brought near the computer, the system will automatically detect the new device and display a prompt to connect with one click.\n
A 'Mouse Keys' mode has been added, allowing users to control the mouse cursor using the keyboard. This feature can be beneficial for individuals with motor impairments (such as tremors), who may find it difficult to use a mouse.\n
The process for activating and deactivating 'face control' has been simplified. This mode allows users to use head movements to control the pointer movement and perform clicks.\n
Six vulnerabilities have been fixed, one of which is marked as critical (accessing already freed memory in Site Isolation). The total amount rewarded to researchers who identified the issues was $9,000. <\/ul>\n
