The first version of the Archify script is available, allowing users to transition to Arch Linux from other distributions while preserving users, the contents of the \/home directory, and mount points. Archify is a fork of the TurboArch script, extending its functionality. <\/p>\n

The script provides the following configuration options for the new system: preserving users or adding a single root user with a designated password; installing desktop environments or window managers, video drivers, and sound servers. After selecting these parameters, the script will ask the user for the desired hostname, timezone, and locale. servers<\/a> Arch Linux package sorting (using the reflector utility), executing the transition in a bash shell, or rebooting. <\/p>\n

Then follows the installation process with the selected parameters, requiring no user input. The script installs all necessary components step by step, removing the old system's contents from the \/bin, \/etc, \/lib, \/lib64, \/sbin, \/srv, \/usr, and \/var directories. To automate, parameters can be defined in the config.default file, in which case Archify will proceed directly to the system replacement stage.
