The APNIC (Asia Pacific Network Information Centre) has announced a 50% coverage achievement IPv6<\/a> in the Asia-Pacific region. The milestone was reached 25 years after the implementation of IPv6 by APNIC. The adoption rates of IPv6 among other registrars are as follows: ARIN (North America) \u2014 52%, LACNIC (Latin America) \u2014 39%, RIPE (Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia) \u2014 28%, AFRINIC (Africa) \u2014 4%.<\/p>\n

By country, the highest level of IPv6 adoption is observed in India (78.16%, 600 million users), Vietnam (60%, 54 million users), Japan (58.2%, 109 million users), and Thailand (50.62%, 45 million users). China leads in the number of IPv6 users, with 810 million users having IPv6 support. In Russia, the level of IPv6 adoption is estimated at 10.63%, Georgia \u2014 12.72%, Ukraine \u2014 13.42%, Belarus \u2014 14.35%, Lithuania \u2014 16.79%, Latvia \u2014 28.52%, Kazakhstan \u2014 21.76%, Estonia \u2014 47.62%, and Israel \u2014 62.83%.<\/p>\n

\"IPv6<\/center>The global IPv6 user coverage is estimated at 40%. The share of IPv6 users from the Asia-Pacific region accounts for 64% of all IPv6 users. For comparison, the share of AFRINIC (Africa) among all IPv6 users is 0.9%, ARIN (North America) \u2014 9.4%, LACNIC (Latin America) \u2014 10.7%, and RIPE (Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia) \u2014 16%. The share of India among all IPv6 users is 27%, while China's share is 22%.<\/p>\n

The reported figures account for the number of users capable of establishing connections over IPv6, but do not reflect which protocol is actually used in configurations that have both IPv6 and IPv4 addresses<\/a>. When considering users preferring IPv6 in dual-stack systems, the share of IPv6 in the Asia-Pacific region is 47%, while globally it is 36%.<\/p>\n

\"IPv6 \"IPv6<\/center>Data is obtained through daily statistics collection from approximately 25 million users. Information is gathered in collaboration with Google and Comcast by placing validation ads in advertising networks. Three URL options are provided for content download \u2014 the first uses a host accessible only via IPv4, the second only via IPv6, and the third uses both IPv4 and IPv6. Based on the request for these URLs, conclusions are drawn about the client's IPv6 support. If IPv6 is used when accessing a host that is available over both IPv4 and IPv6, the client's support for this protocol is considered preferred.<\/p>\n
