The build is tailored for the x86_64 architecture and is based on the ALT 11 platform. An installation ISO image (8 GB) and a separate Live build (5 GB) have been prepared for download.    <\/p>\n<p>Only individuals, including sole proprietors, may freely use the downloaded version. Commercial and government organizations can download and test the distribution, but for permanent use in corporate infrastructure, legal entities must purchase licenses or sign licensing agreements in writing.     <\/p>\n<p>Key Changes:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> The user environment has been updated to KDE 6 using Wayland by default for Intel and AMD GPUs (X11 is retained for NVIDIA GPUs). It includes KDE Plasma 6.3, KDE Frameworks 6.12, KDE Gear 24.12, Mesa 24.3, NVIDIA drivers 470, FFmpeg 7.1, Qmmp 2.1, and Chromium 134.0 (Yandex Browser is available as an option).\n<li class=\"l\"> Transition to multimedia has been implemented. <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/en\/server\/\"   title=\"server\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">server<\/a> PipeWire.\n<li class=\"l\"> Updated versions of Linux kernel 6.12, Glibc 2.38, GCC 14, systemd 255.18, Java 21, Bash 5.0, Bacula 15.\n<li class=\"l\"> The installation image has been redesigned, now allowing the system to run in Live mode. The installer layout has been modified, now translated to Qt6. The screen for selecting additional software in the installer is now shown before disk partitioning.\n<li class=\"l\"> The initial boot subsystem has been replaced with altboot.\n<li class=\"l\"> Support for the LUKS2 disk encryption format has been added.\n<li class=\"l\"> User IDs (UID) now start from 1000 (was 500), as in most other distributions.\n<li class=\"l\"> The GameMode performance optimizer has been added, which dynamically changes various Linux system settings.\n<li class=\"l\"> Support for the admin:\/ protocol has been added in kio-admin to provide administrative access to the entire system (e.g., allows modifying system files in the Dolphin file manager).\n<li class=\"l\"> Improved support for booting in UEFI Secure Boot mode allows the installation of \u2018Alt Workstation K\u2019 alongside Windows on the same computer.\n<li class=\"l\"> In the Discover app center, the latest changes for each package are now shown during system updates.\n<li class=\"l\"> A widget for adjusting the brightness of built-in and external monitors has been added to the taskbar.\n<li class=\"l\">  Added and integrated with NetworkManager <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/en\/vpn\/\"   title=\"VPN\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"268\">VPN<\/a>-client OpenFortiVPN with tunnel support over TLS.\n<li class=\"l\"> The program \u2018Surguche\u2019 has been added for working with digital signatures in PDF documents.\n<li class=\"l\"> The program \u2018Kopidel\u2019 has been added for creating an ISO image with a copy of the already configured system.    <\/ul>\n<p>Also noteworthy is the release of the distribution \u2018Alt Workstation\u2019 11.0\u201d, available in x86_64 and AArch64 builds. Specific changes for this build include the switch from MATE to GNOME 47.4 with Wayland as the default. Two interface modes are offered: panel mode\u2014for users accustomed to the classic MATE layout\u2014and GNOME, which is standard for new versions of GNOME. A service called alt-panelmoded has been added to switch between modes while preserving user profiles.
