The developers of the multimedia package FFmpeg, which includes a set of applications and a collection of libraries for operations with various multimedia formats, have introduced a new infrastructure for collaborative coding based on the open platform Forgejo. The recommended method for submitting changes is now to send pull requests to the Git repository within the Forgejo infrastructure, instead of sending patches via email to the ffmpeg-devel mailing list. Previously, GitWeb was used for code navigation in the main repository, while a mirror was set up on GitHub, which did not support pull request submissions. <\/p>\n
The Forgejo platform is a fork of the Gitea project, which in turn branched off from the Gogs platform. Key features of Forgejo include low resource consumption (can be used on inexpensive servers... Standard project management capabilities are provided, such as task management, issue tracking, pull requests, wikis, tools for coordinating groups of developers, release preparation, package
