The Executive Director is responsible for managing and developing the GNOME Foundation as an organization, as well as interacting with the board of directors, advisory board, and members of the organization. Following Steven's departure, Allan Day, the lead designer of GNOME Shell at Red Hat, will temporarily take on the duties of Executive Director, while also being appointed the President of the Board. <\/p>\n
Before Stephen, the position of Executive Director was held by Holly Million, who captured attention with her diverse range of interests \u2014 from producing documentaries and writing films to founding a shamanic arts institute and practicing herbal medicine.
