The release of the anonymous network I2P 2.10.0 and the C++ client i2pd 2.58.0 has been presented. I2P is a layered anonymous distributed network that operates over the regular internet, actively utilizing end-to-end encryption to ensure anonymity and isolation. The network is built in a P2P mode and is formed based on the resources (bandwidth) provided by network users, allowing it to function without the need for centrally managed servers (communications within the network are based on encrypted one-way tunnels between participants and peers). <\/p>\n
In the I2P network, you can anonymously create websites and blogs, send instant messages and emails, share files, and organize P2P networks. I2P clients are used to build and use anonymous networks for client-server (sites, chats) and P2P (file sharing, cryptocurrencies) applications. The basic I2P client is written in Java and can run on a wide range of platforms, such as Windows, Linux, macOS, Solaris, etc. I2pd is an independent implementation of the I2P client written in C++ and distributed under a modified BSD license. <\/p>\n

Experimental support for post-quantum cryptography algorithms has been implemented (disabled by default).\n
Support for UDP trackers has been added to the torrent client I2PSnark.\n
The operation of the Hidden Mode has been improved, reducing the chances of RouterInfo structures running out with information about routers and their connections.\n
Starting from the I2P 2.11.0 release, scheduled for the end of this year, the client will require Java 17. <\/ul>\n

Support for post-quantum E2E cryptography (ML-KEM-512, ML-KEM-768, ML-KEM-1024) has been added when built with OpenSSL version 3.5.0 and above. Enabled by default.\n

The lack of file descriptors has been fixed in the Haiku OS.\n
Support for boost library version 1.89 has been implemented.\n
Connection acceptance from ECIESx25519 sessions has been discontinued.\n
Support for dark and light themes has been added to the router's web console.\n
In case of a failed host resolution attempt in the server tunnel, a retry will now be performed.\n
Parameters «ssu2.firewalled4» and «ssu2.firewalled6» have been added for the forced application of router-like behavior, even in the absence of a firewall.\n
Added the ability to create unique loopback addresses in the range fd00::\/8 for ::1, if explicitly specified in the server tunnel configuration.\n
Removed the network status display if ipv6-only mode is applied.\n
Added PING command for the SAM interface.\n
Fixed sending the incorrect version in the SetDate message of the I2CP interface.\n
Corrected the maximum UDP buffer size for OpenBSD.\n
Parameters «i2p.streaming.maxWindowSize» and «i2p.streaming.dontSign» have been added.\n
Added PING streaming through the BOB interface.\n
Limited the maximum number of outgoing streaming packets if the peer cannot handle them.\n
The outgoing stream will no longer continuously re-request LeaseSet if the remote peer disappears.\n
Removed calls to functions that have been deleted from OpenSSL.\n
Receiving «HELLO VERSION» without «MIN» and «MAX» is now supported in the SAM interface.\n
Added a non-blocking mode for UDP sockets in UDP tunnels.\n
