The release of ONLYOFFICE DocumentServer 9.1 has been published, featuring the server for ONLYOFFICE online editors and facilitating collaboration. The editors can be used for working with text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. The project code is distributed under the AGPLv3 free license. Pre-built packages are available for Linux, Windows, and macOS. <\/p>\n
Concurrently, the release of the ONLYOFFICE DesktopEditors 9.1 product has been prepared, built on a single codebase with the online editors. The desktop editors are presented as desktop applications written in JavaScript using web technologies, but they combine client and server components in one package, designed for standalone use on the user's local system without any reliance on external services. The Nextcloud Hub platform can also be used for collaborative work on their infrastructure, ensuring full integration with ONLYOFFICE. <\/p>\n
ONLYOFFICE claims full compatibility with MS Office and OpenDocument formats. Supported formats include: DOC, DOCX, ODT, RTF, TXT, PDF, HTML, EPUB, XPS, DjVu, XLS, XLSX, ODS, CSV, PPT, PPTX, ODP. The functionality of the editors can be extended through plugins, for instance, plugins for creating templates and adding videos from YouTube are available. Pre-built packages are available for Windows and Linux (deb and rpm packages). <\/p>\n

The PDF editor has introduced a 'Redact' tab with tools for hiding confidential information in the document. To hide information that needs to be excluded from the document, simply click the 'Mark for Redaction' button, highlight the necessary section, and click the 'Apply Redaction' button. It is possible to hide words or phrases using search or to obscure individual pages or ranges of pages.

New tools for annotating PDF documents have been added, allowing users to insert markings into the document using rectangles, circles, lines, and arrows. The width of lines and the color of shapes can be modified.

The ability to add diagrams and SmartArt graphics to PDF documents has been implemented to visually represent data and highlight key insights.

Functions like LOOKUP, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP in the spreadsheet editor have been significantly accelerated, the logic for handling mixed data types has been improved, and memory consumption during formula calculations has been reduced. Exact search operations through VLOOKUP and linear search through XLOOKUP have been sped up by up to 4 times.

As you enter a formula in the spreadsheet editor, active arguments are highlighted to simplify tracking and editing calculations.

Table formatting settings have been moved to a separate 'Table Design' tab that appears when working with a table.

Pivot Tables now support filters, simplifying trend evaluation and data analysis related to time.\n
You can now open and display files containing interactive content controls, such as buttons, scroll bars, lists, and value selection items.\n
You can rename spreadsheet sheets in place by double-clicking on their names.\n
A feature has been added to change the text direction (Left-to-Right and Right-to-Left) in individual cells.\n
In all ONLYOFFICE components, you can now configure the display of resolved and under-discussion comments in the left panel.

For 2D pie charts and doughnut charts, an 'Explosion' option has been added, allowing segments of the chart to be visually separated from each other. When copying charts between editors, there is now the option to embed a file or link to the data source. It is allowed to include or exclude certain chart elements, such as axis titles and labels.

A comprehensive chart editor has been implemented for documents and slides, allowing direct opening of XLSX files bypassing the cache.

In the presentation editor, the 'Slide Master' settings have been moved to a separate tab.

Support for HEIF image format has been added, as well as the ability to view and edit HWPMLL (Hangul Word Processor Markup Language) documents.\n
Support for converting PPTX presentations and PDF documents into plain text (TXT) has been added.\n
