After nearly three years of development, the release of SuperTuxKart 1.5, a free racing game with a wealth of maps, tracks, and features, has been published. The game's code is distributed under the GPLv3 license. Binary builds are available for Linux, Android, Windows, and macOS. <\/p>\n

Three new artifact search quests have been introduced on the tracks Black Forest, Gran Paradisio Island, and Old Mine.

For multiplayer racing games on football fields, three new fields Oasis, Hole Drop, and XR-4R3N4 have been added.

The user interface now allows resizing the game window. Settings for typical sizes, a full-screen toggle, and camera parameters have been moved to a new 'Display' tab. Interfaces for selecting maps, tracks, and game modes have been adapted to minimize scrolling and work with various screen sizes. Improved support for screens with unusual aspect ratios. Increased contrast for certain interface elements. Navigation using the keyboard has been enhanced. Six new interface themes have been added. The classic theme now includes a new 'Desert' variant, and the Cartoon theme features five colorful options.

A heart marking feature for tracks and maps has been added. Marked items are displayed at the top of the lists and are also accessible through the 'Favorites' tab.

Volume control has been improved. Sounds for activating artifacts are now audible to all players, not just the owner.\n
To improve texture quality and eliminate blurriness, x16 anisotropic filtering has been implemented. Several new shaders and enhanced shadow display logic and detail selection have also been introduced for improved image quality. A spotlight lighting effect has been added. Super-sampling support has been realized to enhance detail on high-resolution screens.

A performance measurement mode has been added to evaluate the effectiveness of optimizations and the impact of changes.
