An experimental release of the open implementation of the Win32 API \u2014 Wine 11.3 has been published. Since the release of 11.2, 30 bug reports have been closed and 223 changes made. <\/p>\n
The most significant changes: <\/p>\n

The Wine Mono engine has been updated to version 11.0.0. Wine Mono is a distribution of the Mono Framework intended for use in Wine instead of the proprietary .NET Framework component.\n
The built-in Vkd3d package with the implementation of Direct3D 12 has been updated to version 1.19.\n
The implementation of the DirectSound API has improved support for filters with finite impulse response (FIR).\n
Optimization of PDB (Program Database) file loading has continued.\n
The light theme has been renamed to Aero for better compatibility.\n
A focus return issue when switching to game applications via the Alt-Tab interface has been resolved, provided that the UseTakeFocus=N parameter is explicitly set in the registry.\n
Development of the mshtml and msxml3 libraries, necessary for the operation of Adobe Cloud product installers, including Adobe Photoshop, has continued. The XMLSerializer class has been implemented in mshtml. Type name handling has been added to createNode() in msxml3.\n
Bug reports related to the operation of applications have been closed: Adobe Audition 2020, QuarkXPress 2024, Framemaker 8, Amazon Chime 5.23, 42Tags, Vavoo Webinstaller, Kodi, zools backup, ExtractNow, zdaemon, Rainmeter 4.5.23, Sysinternals. <\/li>\n
Bug reports related to the operation of games have been closed: War Thunder, Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation, Westwood Monopoly, Flight Simulator 2000, Guild Wars 2, iWin Games Manager V4. <\/ul>\n
The Wine Staging project 11.3 release has also been formed, providing extended Wine builds that include not fully ready or risky patches, not yet suitable for acceptance into the main Wine branch. Compared to Wine, Wine Staging provides 241 additional patches. The new Wine Staging release has synchronized with the Wine 11.3 codebase and updated the vkd3d code. Patches have been updated to ensure compatibility with the Adobe Creative Cloud 2025 and 2026 installers. The implementation of IXMLSerializer has been transferred to mshtml in the main Wine. <\/p>\n
The Wine project has also released the vkd3d package version 1.19 with the implementation of Direct3D 12, functioning through call translation to the Vulkan graphics API. The package includes the libvkd3d libraries with the Direct3D 12 implementation, libvkd3d-shader with shader model 4 and 5 translators, and libvkd3d-utils with features to simplify the porting of Direct3D 12 applications, along with a set of demonstration examples, including the port of glxgears to Direct3D 12. The project's code is distributed under the LGPLv2.1 license. <\/p>\n
The libvkd3d library supports most features of Direct3D 12, including graphics and compute tools, queues and command lists, descriptors and heap descriptors, root signatures, unordered access, Samplers, command signatures, root constants, indirect rendering, and Clear*() and Copy*() methods. In libvkd3d-shader, the translation of shader model bytecode into the intermediate SPIR-V representation is implemented. It supports vertex, pixel, tessellation, compute, and simple geometry shaders, as well as serialization and deserialization of root signature. Among the shader instructions, arithmetic, atomic and bitwise operations, comparison operators, data flow control statements, sample, gather and load instructions, and unordered access operations (UAV, Unordered Access View) are implemented. <\/p>\n

The HLSL shader compiler has significantly improved its handling of input\/output shader arrays used for clipping (Clip) or culling (Cull) when generating SPIR-V representations.\n
A new parameter VKD3D_SHADER_PARAMETER_NAME_PROJECTED_TEXTURE_MASK has been added, indicating which textures in the pixel shader should be considered projected. <\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n
