Alongside the stable version 5.3.0, version 6.0.0 was introduced, marking the transition to the Qt 6 library. The distinction of these releases is that both versions are built from the same source code. The choice between them depends on the versions of Qt used for the build.<\/p>\n<h4>Changes:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Krita 6.0.0 \u2014 experimental<\/strong>: it is recommended to use version 5.3.0 for real work. Krita 6 should become the main version only by the end of the year when it is deemed stable enough;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wayland support<\/strong>: version 6.0.0, due to the transition to Qt6, has gained more functionality in Wayland environments;<\/li>\n<li><strong>AppImage and compatibility<\/strong>: for AppImage users: due to updates in the AppImage runtime, some versions of AppImageLauncher may be incompatible. If issues arise, it is recommended to refer to the AppImage runtime documentation;<\/li>\n<li><strong>completely revamped text engine<\/strong>: added text editing directly on the canvas, full support for OpenType, and the ability to place text inside shapes;<\/li>\n<li><strong>tool improvements<\/strong>: the fill tool can now automatically close gaps in paths, and the 'Liquify' tool has become significantly faster;<\/li>\n<li><strong>new filters<\/strong>: Propagate Colors and Reset Transparent;<\/li>\n<li><strong>HDR support<\/strong>: improved handling of HDR
