Canonical has discontinued the distribution of the installation ISO image of Ubuntu Desktop 24.04.5 LTS for the x86-64 architecture (ubuntu-24.04.4-desktop-amd64.iso) due to a failure that leads to the installer crashing. The problem occurs when selecting the advanced installation mode in the installer interface and arises from the livecd-rootfs package due to a call to a previously removed handler \"enhanced-secure-boot,\" which implements full disk encryption support based on TPM. <\/p>\n

The server live build and the installation image for network installation, as well as builds for other architectures, remain available for download. Until the corrected build is released, users are advised to download Ubuntu 24.04.4 and then install the accumulated updates.
