\nF5 acquires NGINX to unite NetOps and DevOps, providing clients with consistent application services across all environments. The deal is estimated to be worth approximately $670 million. <\/p>\n

The development team, including Igor Sysoev and Maxim Konovalov, will continue to advance NGINX as part of F5.

\nF5 plans to integrate its security technologies into the NGINX server, as well as utilize it in its cloud products. According to Fran\u00e7ois Locoh-Donou, CEO of F5, the merger will significantly accelerate clients' development of containerized applications, while NGINX will gain even more capabilities in large enterprises.<\/p>\n

Representatives from both companies noted that one of the main conditions for the deal to proceed was the preservation of NGINX's openness. <\/p>\n

With today's news, our vision and mission remain unchanged. We continue to assist clients in building distributed application architectures. We are still creating a platform that optimizes incoming and outgoing traffic and APIs. And we still help companies in their transition to microservices. What is changing is our trajectory.
