Configuring Firewall and NAT Rules<\/a><\/noindex><\/p>\n<p><b>DHCP <\/b>\u2013 a network protocol that allows your virtual machines to automatically receive an IP address and other parameters necessary for operation in a TCP\/IP network.<\/p>\n<p>In NSX Edge, there are three DHCP settings options:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>DHCP pool \u2013 creating a pool of addresses that will be automatically issued to DHCP clients;<\/li>\n<li>DHCP binding \u2013 binding a specific IP address to a particular MAC address;<\/li>\n<li>DHCP Relay \u2013 using a third-party DHCP server to issue IP addresses to servers located in different subnets (other than the DHCP server).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" name=\"habracut\"><\/a><\/noindex><br \/>\nTo access the DHCP server settings menu, go to the section <b>Administration<\/b> and click on your virtual data center. In the horizontal menu that appears, select the tab <b>Edge Gateways<\/b>, right-click on the desired network and select the option <b>Edge Gateway Services.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"VMware NSX for Beginners.
