I dug out the dusty closet and really needed the ZXHN H118N from Dom.ru.<\/p>\n

The problem lies in its limited firmware, which is tied to the provider Dom.ru (Ertelecom), where you can only enter the username and password for PPPOE to connect to the internet. <\/p>\n

This functionality is sufficient for a housewife, but not for me.<\/p>\n

So, we will reflash this router! <\/p>\n

The first difficulty is that you can\u2019t reflash it either. Dom.ru took care of this thoroughly. You can only use Dom.ru firmware. But in the old firmware of Dom.ru, to which you can roll back (downgrade), there is an option to upload the original ZTE firmware. <\/a><\/noindex><\/p>\n

1. Enter in the address bar 192.168.0.1\/html\/menu.html<\/a><\/noindex> Then click any character \u2014 it will show the factory web interface.<\/p>\n

2. Go to the 'Management' page<\/p>\n

3. Tab 'Firmware Upgrade'<\/p>\n

4. First, we flash the firmware from DOMRU \u2014 DOMRU__ZXHN+H118NV2.0.1d_E04_OV.img<\/a><\/noindex> (Old Dom.ru firmware with upgrade capability).<\/p>\n

5. After flashing, the router gets IP \u2014 192.168.0.1. But it won\u2019t let you in through the WEB interface. You can only access it via TELNET \u2014 User: root Pass: root (for those interested).<\/p>\n

6. By pressing the reset button, we restore it to factory settings.<\/p>\n

6.1. The router may change the address to 192.168.1.1, and also in the settings of your device connected to the router, you need to manually specify the details

\nWithout this, accessing 192.168.1.1 redirected me to a 404 page.<\/p>\n
