The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is conducting<\/a><\/noindex> the development of its own secure communication platform. The project is called RACE and aims to create a distributed anonymous system for communication.<\/p>\n

\"DARPA<\/p>\n

RACE is based on the requirements for network resilience and the confidentiality of all its participants. Thus, DARPA prioritizes security. While the technical aspects of the system are currently unknown, it would be logical to assume that the new system will utilize end-to-end encryption and have the capability to transmit data through any communication channels. The stated distributed nature may suggest a lack of a central server or cluster.<\/p>\n

The only known fact is that the system will be resilient to cyber attacks, and the protocol will allow for the isolation of compromised nodes from the overall network. It is still unclear how this will be implemented; it is possible that some military developments will be used for this purpose.<\/p>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n

At this point, it remains unclear when the new development will be available in a finished form, at least as a system for the military. However, it is anticipated that this will happen soon. In the future, the innovation might also emerge as a consumer solution.<\/p>\n

It is worth recalling that earlier at DARPA was announced<\/a><\/noindex> there was a discussion about the development of the Guaranteeing AI Robustness against Deception (GARD) program. As the name suggests, it aims to protect AI from deception, false data, and incorrect decisions, among other issues. Given that artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly in demand across all sectors, this is a highly anticipated initiative.<\/p>\n

According to the agency, the cost of an AI error can be extremely high, making the creation of systems to protect AI from deception critically necessary.  <\/p>\n
