Valgrind is supported on Linux (X86, AMD64, ARM32, ARM64, PPC32, PPC64BE, PPC64LE, S390X, MIPS32, MIPS64), Android (ARM, ARM64, MIPS32, X86), Solaris (X86, AMD64), and macOS (AMD64).<\/p>\n<p>In <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/valgrind.org\/docs\/manual\/dist.news.html\">new version<\/a><\/noindex>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Significantly <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/nnethercote\/2019\/04\/17\/a-better-dhat\/\">redesigned<\/a><\/noindex> and the heap profiling tool DHAT (Dynamic Heap Analysis Tool) has been expanded, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/valgrind.org\/docs\/manual\/dh-manual.html\">has been added<\/a><\/noindex> Track all memory allocation requests in the heap and identify resource leaks, areas of excessive activity while working with the heap, unused memory allocations, short-lived allocations, and inefficient data placement in the heap. DHAT has been included in the standard toolbox of Valgrind (to run, you now need to use the option &#171;&#8212;tool=dhat&#187; instead of &#171;&#8212;tool=exp-dhat&#187;).\n<p>The most notable improvement is the addition of a graphical user interface in DHAT. Additionally, after the monitored program finishes, DHAT now displays only a minimal summary of the most important information, while the full profiling report is saved to a file. Data is no longer grouped in records but is preserved as stack trace trees. The number of measurements has been expanded, and new categories of tracked parameters have been added. A special viewer dh_view.html has been proposed for viewing the saved report, which is run in a web browser;<br \/>\n<center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ffp4g1ylyit3jdyti1hqcvtb-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com\/nnethercote\/files\/2019\/04\/dh-tree.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Release of Valgrind 3.15.0, a toolkit for detecting memory issues \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/9991914838e3e36d4dcb89ea8c3eb087.jpg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> Support for extended instruction sets RDRAND and F16C has been added for amd64 (x86_64) systems;\n<li class=\"l\"> In Cachegrind and Callgrind, a new option &#171;&#8212;show-percs&#187; has been introduced, adding the display of counter values in percentages.\n<li class=\"l\"> In Massif for Linux, Android, and Solaris, the &#171;&#8212;read-inline-info&#187; mode is enabled by default; for macOS, explicit specification of &#171;&#8212;read-inline-info=yes&#187; is still required.\n<li class=\"l\"> In Memcheck, when specifying the option &#171;&#8212;xtree-leak=yes&#187; (output of memory leak checks in xtree format), the option &#171;&#8212;show-leak-kinds=all&#187; is now automatically enabled. Work has been done to prevent false positives.\n<li class=\"l\"> An option &#171;&#8212;show-error-list=no|yes&#187; has been added, as well as the &#171;-s&#187; option equivalent to &#171;&#8212;show-error-list=yes&#187; for displaying a list of identified errors upon completion.
