In Windows, frequency reduction is done manually through the management program interface, while in Linux it is done via a taskbar widget and through the console (cpupower for CentOS, cpufreq-set for Ubuntu).<\/p>\n<p>In Linux, executing commands through the console allows for automatic execution based on certain events. <\/p>\n<p>The usps-consumptionagent utility from the free UmVirt Solar Power Station package allows you to execute commands that manage CPU performance based on real-time solar power station data. <\/p>\n<p>Typical configuration for 12-volt mode:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the voltage on the panels is above 16 volts, set to performance mode<\/li>\n<li>If the voltage on the panels is below 16 volts or unknown, set to power-saving mode<\/li>\n<li>If the battery voltage is below 11.6, execute the shutdown command<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The shutdown command can be: <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>graceful shutdown (poweroff), <\/li>\n<li>suspend mode (systemctl suspend), <\/li>\n<li>hibernation (systemctl hibernate),<\/li>\n<li>a sequence of commands.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\nExample sequence of commands: <\/p>\n<pre><code class=\"bash\">.\/suspend.py &amp;&amp; systemctl suspend<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>Executing this command will save the current <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/en\/vps\/abuzoustojchivye-vps\/\"   title=\"virtual machines\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"4210\">virtual machines<\/a> to disk and put the computer into sleep mode.
