The update <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/devices.ubuntu-touch.io\/\">has been formed<\/a><\/noindex> is available for smartphones like OnePlus One, Fairphone 2, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013, Meizu MX4\/PRO 5, Bq Aquaris E5\/E4.5\/M10. The project also includes <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/unity8.io\/\">is being developed<\/a><\/noindex> an experimental desktop port <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ubports\/unity8\">Unity 8<\/a><\/noindex>, available for <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ubports\/unity8-desktop-install-tools\">builds<\/a><\/noindex> Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04. <\/p>\n<p>The release is based on Ubuntu 16.04 (OTA-3 was based on Ubuntu 15.04, and starting with OTA-4, the transition to Ubuntu 16.04 has been made). As with the previous release, the focus in preparing OTA-9 was on bug fixes and improving stability. The transition to Mir 1.1 and the latest release of the Unity 8 shell has been postponed once again.
