  1. New phone! Our smartphones are Pixel 3a<\/strong> and Pixel 3a XL<\/strong><\/a><\/noindex> will be available this week, combining all the key features from Google at a lower price ($399 for the 5.6-inch display and $479 for the 6-inch model).<\/li>\n
  2. Google<\/a><\/noindex> loves a trio, so Pixel 3a<\/strong> it is presented in three color options: purple, white, and just black.<\/li>\n
  3. And regardless of the color of the phone, it has the same Pixel camera. Capture portraits in HDR+ mode or use Night Sight for magical low-light photos (think outdoor concerts, fancy restaurants, or night hikes with friends).<\/li>\n
  4. A bit of creativity - Time Lapse will be added to Pixel 3a<\/strong>. With this technology, you'll be able to capture a sunset and convert it into a few seconds of video.<\/li>\n

  7. Who's there? The 'Call Screen' feature in Google Assistant (available in the US and Canada) provides additional information on who is calling before you answer. It saves you from spam calls once and for all.<\/li>\n
  8. Pixel 3a<\/strong> is secured against new threats thanks to three years of security updates and operating system updates.<\/li>\n
  9. It also comes with a custom chip Titan M<\/em>, which helps protect your most important data.<\/li>\n
  10. All Pixel phones feature an augmented reality preview in Google Maps. So on your next walk through the city, you can check routes overlaid onto the real world instead of staring at a boring blue dot on the map.<\/li>\n
  11. Meet Google Nest<\/a><\/noindex>. We are combining home products and the Nest brand to create a smart home.<\/li>\n
  12. We introduced the newest member of the Google Nest family: Google Nest Hub Max<\/strong>. It features a 10-inch display, high-quality stereo sound, a camera with built-in Nest Cam features, and all the power of Google Assistant.<\/li>\n
  13. Live albums in Nest Hub Max<\/strong> allow you to select family and friends' photos from your Google Photos to display on the screen.<\/li>\n
  14. The built-in Nest Cam helps you keep an eye on what\u2019s happening at home. Just turn on the camera when you're away and watch the action right from the Nest app on your phone.<\/li>\n
  15. The camera in Hub Max also allows you to make video calls and leave personal messages using the Google Duo video calling app.<\/li>\n
  16. If you're listening to music or watching a cooking guide, simply wave your hand to lower the volume. Control everything with gestures, just look at Nest Hub Max<\/strong> and raise your hand.<\/li>\n
  17. The home monitoring dashboard lets you manage all connected devices from a single interface. Currently, Google Assistant controls over 30,000 devices from 3,500 brands.<\/li>\n
  18. Similar to Voice Match, you have the option to enable Face Match in Nest Hub Max<\/strong>, which identifies who is using the device and shares the most important information, such as calendar and estimated travel time.<\/li>\n
  19. We have also shared new commitments regarding privacy policies, explaining our security options for Google Nest products.<\/li>\n
  20. On the front panel Hub Max<\/strong> the green indicator light shows when the camera is streaming video. Additionally, you have several controls to disable camera features like Nest Cam and Face Match.<\/li>\n

    2. Assistant next generation<\/a><\/noindex> will work on the device and respond to requests ten times faster with virtually no delay. It will arrive later this year on Pixel<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    3. Continued conversation. Now with the continued conversation<\/a><\/noindex> You can make several requests in a row without saying 'Okay, Google' each time.<\/li>\n
    4. We're expanding capabilities for the Internet to help you complete tasks faster. Just ask the assistant: 'Book a car for my next trip', and it will figure everything else out by itself.<\/li>\n
    5. Stop the alarm! Now you can stop the timer or alarm you set on Google Home speakers or smart displays simply by saying 'stop'.<\/li>\n
    6. Quick help! With the new 'Personal Connections' feature, the assistant will better understand you and inform you about important things in your life. For example, you told the assistant which contact is 'mom'. Then you can ask: 'Okay, Google. What\u2019s the weather like at my mom\u2019s house this weekend?' \u2014 and get an answer without any additional details.<\/li>\n
    7. Select your next recipe to try, event to attend, or podcast to listen to with 'Recommendations for You'. This assistant feature is based on previous search results and other contextual cues to provide more personalized outcomes.<\/li>\n
    8. In the coming weeks, access to all the assistant's helpful features will be available directly in Waze.<\/li>\n
    9. Use driving mode in the assistant when you're behind the wheel. The new dashboard automatically launches when you are driving and displays the most important actions, such as navigation, messaging, calls, and multimedia.<\/li>\n
    10. With the assistant, it\u2019s easier to manage your car remotely, allowing you to adjust your car's temperature, check fuel levels, or ensure your doors are locked without leaving home.<\/li>\n
    11. Manage your assistant data and select appropriate privacy settings on the 'You' tab in settings.<\/li>\n
    12. Ever googled the question 'how to make ...'? We're giving content creators easy-to-use developer tools, so in the coming months, when you ask: 'Okay, Google, how to build a treehouse out of matchsticks?', you'll receive step-by-step instructions from a trusted source like DIY Networks.<\/li>\n
    13. The assistant is now integrated with some of your favorite apps. For example, you can say: 'Okay, Google, start a run in Nike Run Club'.<\/li>\n
    14. Now game developers will fully leverage the advantages of developing for interactive Smart Displays, so we will soon see more games combining voice, visuals, and touch.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning<\/h2>\n

      2. We have made progress in flood forecasting in India. Now we can better use AI to predict the timing, location, and severity of floods across 90% of India's territories, sharing this information through Google alerts.<\/li>\n
      3. Two musical groups took the stage at I\/O \u2014 using machine learning. YACHT<\/a><\/noindex> and The Flaming Lips<\/a><\/noindex> worked with Google engineers to create music using Magenta, our AI tool for creativity.<\/li>\n

        2. When you search for news on a specific topic, you will have the ability to see different moments in history \u2014 from timelines of events to key people involved \u2014 covering a broad range of content including articles, tweets, and even podcasts.<\/li>\n
        3. In the coming months, we will start including podcasts in Google search results so you can listen to podcasts directly from the search results page or save an episode for later.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Augmented Reality and Google Lens<\/h2>\n

          1. Seeing means believing! Soon you will be able to view 3D objects directly in search and place them in your own space.<\/li>\n
          2. The camera expands the world.<\/a><\/noindex>, using augmented reality to overlay useful information and content onto the real world. For example, if you see a dish you would like to prepare in the next issue of Bon Appetit, you can point your camera at the recipe, bring the page to life, and show how to make it.<\/li>\n
          3. The camera will help you decide what to order. Just point the lens at the menu and find out which dishes are popular. Tap on a dish to see photos and snippets of reviews from Google Maps.<\/li>\n
          4. Now you can point your camera at text, and the lens will automatically overlay the translation right over the original words \u2014 it works in over 100 languages.<\/li>\n
          5. What does this say? When you point your camera at text, we can read it aloud. You can also tap on a specific word to find its definition. This feature launches for the first time in Google Go, our search app for beginner smartphone users.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              5. Smart Reply is getting even smarter! Not only will your phone suggest responses, it will also assist you in taking actions like opening addresses from a text message in an app, for example, Google Maps.<\/li>\n
              6. You asked \u2014 we delivered! The dark theme for Android Q. Activate it separately in settings, or switch to Battery Saver mode.<\/li>\n
              7. We are elevating privacy to the top of settings, allowing you to find all important controls in one place.<\/li>\n
              8. Android Q offers you new permission management tools so you can share your location (or not) with apps on your own terms.<\/li>\n
              9. Time for a break? With the new Focus mode, you can do everything without distractions by selecting the apps you want to keep active and pausing all unused ones.<\/li>\n
