The Audi e-tron, the first fully electric vehicle from the German company, received a high safety rating from the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) following crash tests.<\/p>\n

Currently, Euro NCAP is the primary organization that assesses vehicle safety based on independent crash tests. The safety rating for the Audi e-tron electric car was very positive. The safety of the driver and adult passengers was rated at 91%, children at 85%, pedestrians at 71%, and the electronic safety system received a score of 76%. As a result of these findings, the car was awarded a five-star safety rating.<\/p>\n
The car's interior remained stable during the offset frontal crash test. Readings captured by special sensors indicate that good protection is provided to the knees and thighs of the driver and passengers during a collision. Passengers of different heights and weights, sitting in various positions, will receive an adequate level of protection. In a frontal collision, both passengers received good protection for all critical body areas. Experts noted the excellent performance of the autonomous braking system, which proved effective in low-speed tests.<\/p>\n

A weak level of protection for the driver's chest was identified during a collision with a post. The system for controlling maximum speed was also noted to have insufficient effectiveness.<\/p>\n

Notably, the deliveries of the Audi e-tron in the European region began earlier this year. This month, the first electric vehicles from the German automaker have arrived in the American market.<\/p>\n
