The Finnish company Bittium announced the release of the 'ultra-secure smartphone Bittium Tough Mobile 2.<\/p>\n

According to the press release, 'the core of the information security of the Bittium Tough Mobile 2 is a multi-layered security structure based on an enhanced version of the Android 9 Pie operating system, unique hardware solutions, as well as information protection features and software integrated into the source code.'<\/p>\n

The multi-layered information protection, as the company claims, provides maximum effective data protection stored in the device, as well as secure data transmission.<\/p>\n

The data protection system used in the smartphone includes several functions related to encryption, authentication, key management, security checks during boot and program execution, a security platform protected from unauthorized access, as well as a privacy mode. The privacy switch allows the microphones, camera, and Bluetooth module to be turned off, and the sensor accuracy can be reduced with a single button press.<\/p>\n

The Bittium Tough Mobile 2 is compatible with the Bittium Secure Suite software, which includes remote phone management and encrypted data transmission.<\/p>\n

The smartphone is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset. The device features a special hardware protection element, 4 GB of RAM, a 64 GB flash storage, a microSD card slot supporting up to 256 GB, two SIM card slots, a built-in battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh, speakers, and an active noise cancellation system with multiple microphones. It also includes a rear 12 MP camera with autofocus and a front camera with a resolution of 5 MP.<\/p>\n

The Bittium Tough Mobile 2 has an IP67 rating for water and dust protection, meets the military standard MIL-STD-810G for shock and drop resistance, and its 5.2-inch Full HD screen supports touch control with wet hands or gloves.<\/p>\n

The price of the Bittium Tough Mobile 2 is \u20ac1550. The smartphone is already available for pre-order on the company's website, although the release date has not yet been specified. The device will be showcased at the Infosecurity Europe event, which will take place in London from June 4 to June 6.<\/p>\n
