Introduced<\/a><\/noindex> interim release Firefox 67.0.1<\/a><\/noindex>, notable for the default inclusion of tracking movement blocks, which disables cookies for domains caught tracking movements, regardless of the 'Do Not Track' header being set. The blocking is based on the blacklist at disconnect.me. <\/p>\n

The change applies to standard mode, which previously included blocking only for private browsing. It differs from strict blocking mode in that it does not disable the loading of external code for tracking movements. Currently, the blocking of tracker cookies by default is only activated for new installations, while older users retain their previous settings. A switch of the blocking algorithm for older users is planned to be implemented in the coming months. Until then, older users can enable the suggested mode by selecting 'Custom' blocking mode and activating the 'Cookie\/Third-party trackers' option.<\/p>\n
