The programming school continues to develop in the village. codery.camp<\/a><\/noindex>. Recently, we completed a complete overhaul of the web development course, which is now available in an online format. <\/p>\n

To compile the theoretical materials, we applied an unusual solution \u2014 all of them are combined into an interactive graph, which conveniently serves as a roadmap for those studying web development. The materials are interconnected and include exercises for writing code in addition to just the theory.<\/p>\n

Learning Concept<\/h2>\n

\nWe believe that during learning, a person constantly switches between two modes \u2014 the mode of building a general picture and the mode of diving into the details of a specific entity. <\/p>\n

In the course lessons, we focus on the first mode \u2014 the lesson contains only general information that helps build a 'world picture.' A lesson can be read without delving into details \u2014 and only after grasping the general picture, one can start to explore specific materials.<\/p>\n

The theoretical materials are presented in the course as excerpts. Clicking on this excerpt transfers the student to the second mode \u2014 they fully concentrate on mastering specific material, without delving into its role in the theme of this lesson.<\/p>\n

\nIn addition to the explanation itself, the materials contain special exercises<\/i> \u2014 coding exercises to reinforce this material in practice. <\/p>\n

All materials are interconnected by arrows \u2014 similar to a technology tree in strategy games. This greatly aids in mastering complex materials that rely on other foundational knowledge. If a student faces difficulties in understanding, they can revert to more fundamental material at any time and immediately review it \u2014 rather than searching for missing knowledge throughout the course structure.<\/p>\n

This extraction of theoretical materials from lessons provides an additional opportunity. Students with basic initial knowledge can construct their own learning path and navigate through this map of materials, marking their progress with a special button. <\/p>\n

\nDespite this additional opportunity, we believe it is more appropriate to go through the materials in the sequence outlined in the lessons. In addition to forming a general picture, the lessons have another important feature \u2013 practical assignments.<\/p>\n

To master web development, it is not enough to simply study a set of individual materials and technologies \u2013 you need to learn to connect them into a whole in larger projects. Practical assignments represent such projects, increasing in complexity from lesson to lesson and covering an ever-growing number of materials.<\/p>\n

Practical assignments are completed in external sandboxes and are manually checked by the instructor. The instructor not only checks the correctness of the work but also pays attention to typical stylistic issues \u2013 code formatting, variable naming, etc. \u2013 which are better corrected at the earliest stage of the developer's growth.<\/p>\n

\nIn addition to checking practical assignments, the instructor plays another important role.
