Mail.ru Group is reportedly implementing a new user identification mechanism for its email service, according to RBC.<\/p>\n

This involves the use of one-time passwords, which will be sent via SMS or through push notifications appearing on the user's mobile device.<\/p>\n

It is expected that the new system will enhance security. One-time passwords will be valid for a limited time and for a single authentication only. This means that it will be impossible to crack such a code and gain unauthorized access to the email account.<\/p>\n

«Email is often the «key» to all other user services, so ensuring the security of the mailbox is critically important. In the long run, this innovation will significantly enhance email security, as if there is no password, it cannot be lost or guessed,» said representatives from Mail.ru Group.<\/p>\n
