Sberbank launched a money transfer service from credit cards to debit cards between its clients starting June 25. Currently, this service is available in the web version of the \"Sberbank Online\" application, and it will soon be available to users of the mobile app, as reported by RBK citing the bank's press service.<\/p>\n

Instant money transfers from Sberbank's credit cards to debit cards can be made using a phone number or card number. The same commission applies as for cash withdrawals at ATMs\u20143%, but no less than 390 rubles. The commission does not vary based on the region where the service is provided.<\/p>\n

Sberbank also reported that the interest-free period, which is up to 50 days for all Sberbank credit cards, does not apply to transfers of credit funds. When sending money, the sender will have to pay interest on the credit immediately.<\/p>\n

According to Alma Obayeva, chairwoman of the National Payment Council, this service may help Sberbank reduce its ATM servicing costs, as some clients will stop using ATMs to transfer money from credit cards to debit cards.<\/p>\n
