The installation size <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.project-trident.org\/download\/\">ISO image<\/a><\/noindex> 3 GB (AMD64).<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Trident project, the development of the Lumina graphical environment and all previously available graphical tools in PC-BSD, such as sysadm and AppCafe, is also underway. The Trident project was formed after the transformation of TrueOS into a separate modular operating system, which can be utilized as a platform for other projects. TrueOS is positioned as a 'downstream' fork of FreeBSD, modifying the core composition of FreeBSD with support for technologies such as OpenRC and LibreSSL. During development, the project adheres to a six-month release preparation cycle with updates delivered on pre-scheduled dates. <\/p>\n<p>The new release features a significant update of application versions in the repositories and core system components, incorporating changes from the FreeBSD 13-CURRENT branch and the current ports tree. For instance, versions of chromium 75, firefox 67.0.4, iridium 2019.04.73, gpu-firmware-kmod g20190620, drm-current-kmod 4.16.g20190519, and virtualbox-ose 5.2.30 have been updated. Many default settings proposed by TrueOS have been altered. A series of new system packages named '*-bootstrap' has been added. Packages related to ZFS On Linux have been renamed to nozfs and openzfs. Since the changes affected the structure of core system packages, the command 'sudo pkg install -fy sysup' should be executed before initiating the update installation process.<\/p>\n<p>Some features of Trident:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> A predefined firewall profile for sending traffic through the anonymous Tor network, which can be activated during the installation process.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> For web navigation, the browser <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=48156\">Falkon<\/a><\/noindex> (QupZilla) is offered, with a built-in ad blocker and advanced settings for tracking protection.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> ZFS is used as the default file system, along with the OpenRC initialization system.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> During system updates, a separate snapshot is created in the file system, allowing for an instant rollback to a previous state in case of issues after the update.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">  LibreSSL from the OpenBSD project is used instead of OpenSSL.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Installed packages are verified with a digital signature.\n<\/li>\n<p><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\"
