Mozilla introduced<\/a><\/noindex> service Track THIS<\/a><\/noindex>, allowing a clear evaluation of the methods used by advertising networks to track visitor preferences. The service enables automated opening of about 100 tabs to simulate four typical online behavior profiles, after which advertising networks begin offering content corresponding to the selected profile for several days.<\/p>\n

For example, if the profile of a very wealthy person is selected, advertisements for luxury hotels, premium cars, high-end brands, and exclusive clubs will appear. If the hipster behavior profile is chosen, trends, exclusive offers, comfortable clothing, and the latest music releases will dominate the results. For the paranoid profile, links related to various conspiracy theories, information on bunker creation, and tips for stockpiling for a rainy day will be shown. The manipulated consumer profile will display ads for fashionable clothing and skincare products, along with astrological forecasts and offers related to likes and subscriptions.<\/p>\n
