The release is available in <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.enlightenment.org\/download\">source code<\/a><\/noindex>, packages for distributions have not yet <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/phab.enlightenment.org\/w\/packaging_status\/\">been formed<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<p>The most notable <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.enlightenment.org\/core\/enlightenment.git\/tree\/NEWS\">innovations<\/a><\/noindex> Enlightenment 0.23:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Support for operating under Wayland has been significantly improved;\n<li class=\"l\"> Transition to a new build system has been completed  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50882\">Meson<\/a><\/noindex>;\n<li class=\"l\"> A new Bluetooth module based on Bluez5 has been added;\n<li class=\"l\"> Support for the MPRIS protocol for remote control of media players has been added to the music playback control module;\n<li class=\"l\"> The Alt-tab window switching interface now allows you to move windows during switching;\n<li class=\"l\"> An option for creating screenshots has been added;\n<li class=\"l\"> An option to turn the screen on and off using DPMS (Display Power Management Signaling) has been added.\n<\/ul>\n<p><center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.enlightenment.org\/_media\/shot-enlightenment.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Release of the Enlightenment 0.23 user environment\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/63b0f006565aa04dd5f2ffc725f5d30c.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s remember that the desktop in Enlightenment is formed by components such as a file manager, a set of widgets, an application launcher panel, and a set of graphical configurators. Enlightenment is very flexible in being customized to your liking: the graphical configurators do not restrict the user in settings and allow for adjustments to all aspects of operation, providing both high-level tools (changing themes, setting up virtual desktops, managing fonts, screen resolution, keyboard layout, localization, etc.) and options for low-level tuning (for example, you can configure caching parameters, graphics acceleration, power consumption, and window manager logic).<\/p>\n<p>To enhance functionality, it is suggested to use modules (gadgets), and to redesign the appearance \u2014 themes. Specifically, modules are available for displaying a calendar-planner, weather forecast, monitoring, volume control, battery charge estimation, etc. The Enlightenment components are not rigidly tied to each other and can be used in other projects or to create specialized environments, such as mobile device shells.<\/p>\n<p><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\"
