Available<\/a><\/noindex> release of the program for travelers QMapShack 1.13.2<\/a><\/noindex>, which can be used during the planning stage of hikes for route mapping, as well as for storing information about traversed paths, keeping a travel diary, or preparing travel reports. QMapShack is a reworked and conceptually different branch of the program QLandkarte GT<\/a><\/noindex> (developed by the same author), ported to Qt5. The code is distributed<\/a><\/noindex> is licensed under GPLv3. It supports operation in Linux, Windows, and macOS.<\/p>\n

The prepared route can be exported in various formats and used on different devices and navigation programs during hikes. Various map formats and digital terrain models are supported. Multiple overlapping maps can be viewed simultaneously, setting their rendering order based on scale and changing the level of transparency. There is the possibility to add markers, including attaching multimedia files to map points.
\nFor any waypoint, you can view the distance from the start to the endpoint, the time taken to reach that point, elevation above sea level, slope angle, and speed.<\/p>\n
