It seems that autumn is an unfortunate time for Windows 10 developers. Otherwise, it's hard to explain that almost a year ago in build 1809, a whole bunch of problems emerged, even after a re-release. This includes incompatibility<\/a><\/noindex> issues with old AMD graphics cards, issues<\/a><\/noindex> search in Windows Media, and even crashes<\/a><\/noindex> in iCloud. A few days ago, cumulative update KB4515384 was released. It fixed the orange color<\/a><\/noindex> of screenshots and excessive CPU load caused by the Cortana voice assistant, but brought even more problems.<\/p>\n

As it turns out, the update calls<\/a><\/noindex> causes sound issues. If there are third-party sound cards on the computer, there may be instances of reduced sound quality. To resolve the issue, it is recommended to change the sound quality to 16-bit and disable virtual multi-channel sound systems. Microsoft has acknowledged acknowledged<\/a><\/noindex> the issue but has not fixed it yet. It may occur by the end of the month. But that's not all.<\/p>\n

In addition to this, KB4515384 \"breaks<\/a><\/noindex>\" affects Ethernet and Wi-Fi adapters on some PCs, and reinstalling drivers does not help. In this case, the only solution may be to uninstall the update.<\/p>\n

And for the \"cherry on top\" \u2014 KB4515384 also increases the CPU load, sometimes prevents the Support Center and classic Microsoft Edge from launching. It can also lead to system crashes<\/a><\/noindex> when working with external USB devices: with mice, keyboards, and other peripherals.<\/p>\n

It seems that this cumulative patch contains the maximum number of bugs or was simply not tested and was released right away. We will just have to wait for the \"patch\".<\/p>\n
