Like in Firefox<\/a><\/noindex> in Chrome plan<\/a><\/noindex> will soon discontinue support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols, which are being deprecated<\/a><\/noindex> by the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) and are not recommended for use. Support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 will be disabled in Chrome 81, scheduled for March 17, 2020.<\/p>\n

According to Google, currently about 0.5% of web page downloads are still being made using outdated versions of TLS. Before the actual discontinuation of support starting with the Chrome 79 release on January 13, an unsafe connection indicator will begin to be displayed for connections using TLS 1.0 and 1.1.
