The Document Foundation announced<\/a><\/noindex> on readiness for translation into English<\/a><\/noindex> of the getting started guide for LibreOffice 6 (Getting started guide<\/a><\/noindex>). The document (470 pages, PDF<\/a><\/noindex>) is distributed under free licenses GPLv3+ and Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY). The translation was done by Valery Goncharuk, Alexander Denkin, and Roman Kuznetsov.<\/p>\n

The guide includes a description of the main techniques for working in
\nthe Writer word processor, Calc spreadsheet system, Impress presentation preparation program, Draw vector graphics editor, Base database environment, and Math formula editor. The document also covers topics such as installation, configuration, styles, templates, and macros. <\/p>\n
