Microsoft has launched public testing of the streaming service Project xCloud. Users who applied for participation have already begun receiving invitations.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud of the #ProjectxCloud team for launching public testing \u2014 it\u2019s an exciting time for Xbox,\u201d wrote<\/a><\/noindex> said Xbox head Phil Spencer on Twitter. \u2014 Invitations are already being sent and will continue over the next few weeks. We\u2019re excited that all of you will help shape the future of game streaming.\u201d<\/p>\n

Project xCloud allows users to stream Xbox games to mobile devices via the cloud. The service requires a smartphone running Android version 6.0 or higher and Bluetooth 4.0 support. The service is not yet available for iOS users.<\/p>\n

After the release of the public preview version of Project xCloud, the first footage of the service operating at home appeared online. Below you will see, for example, gameplay of Halo 5: Guardians<\/a><\/noindex> on the Samsung Galaxy S10.<\/p>\n

According to the user @Masterchiefin21<\/a><\/noindex>, Halo 5: Guardians operates at 60 frames per second and was streamed to his phone through his home Wi-Fi connection. He also claims that input lag is moderate and not bothersome at all.<\/p>\n

You can register to participate in the public testing of Project xCloud on the official Xbox website<\/a><\/noindex>. The service currently supports Gears 5<\/a><\/noindex>, Halo 5: Guardians, Killer Instinct, and Sea of Thieves<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n
