Since the release of version <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51578\">4.17<\/a><\/noindex> 38 bug reports were closed and 305 changes were made. <\/p>\n<p>The most significant changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Many new features have been added to VBScript (e.g., error handlers, functions like Hour, Day, Month, etc.);\n<li class=\"l\"> The quartz.dll functionality has been cleaned and expanded;\n<li class=\"l\"> Exception handling has been added in ntdll, along with the implementation of RtlSetSearchPathMode and RtlGetSearchPath() functions;\n<li class=\"l\"> New functions were added in wined3d: wined3d_stateblock_set_render_state(), wined3d_stateblock_set_blend_factor(),<br \/>\nwined3d_stateblock_set_vs_consts_*(), wined3d_stateblock_set_vertex_shader(), wined3d_stateblock_set_vertex_declaration(), wined3d_stateblock_set_pixel_shader(), wined3d_stateblock_set_ps_consts_f();<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> Bug reports related to the operation of games and applications such as Lego Island 2, Space Rangers 2, Memento Mori, fr-043, Lego Stunt Rally, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Broken Sword: The Angel of Death, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Age of Empires, Grandia II Anniversary Edition, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Halo 2, Wolf RPG Editor, Logos Bible Software, Atmel Studio 7, Transcendence, Art of Murder, Need for Speed: Carbon, and Blur have been closed.\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winehq.org\/pipermail\/wine-devel\/2019-October\/152538.html\">the<\/a><\/noindex> project release <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wine-staging\/wine-staging\/\">Wine Staging 4.18<\/a><\/noindex>, which develops extended Wine builds including incomplete or experimental patches that are not yet suitable for inclusion in the main Wine branch. Compared to Wine, Wine Staging offers 850 additional patches. <\/p>\n<p>In the new release of Wine Staging, synchronization with the Wine 4.18 codebase has been achieved. The d3dx9_36 patch, which ensures the alignment of texture dimensions according to block size when using texture compression, has been transferred to the main Wine. An InternalGetWindowIcon stub has been added to user32. Patches have been updated.  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wine-staging\/wine-staging\/tree\/master\/patches\/eventfd_synchronization\">eventfd_synchronization<\/a><\/noindex>, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wine-staging\/wine-staging\/tree\/master\/patches\/wined3d-zero-inf-shaders\">wined3d-zero-inf-shaders<\/a><\/noindex> and  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wine-staging\/wine-staging\/tree\/master\/patches\/dinput-joy-mappings\">dinput-joy-mappings<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, it is worth noting <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/doitsujin\/dxvk\/releases\/tag\/v1.4.3\">update<\/a><\/noindex> layers <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/doitsujin\/dxvk\/\">DXVK 1.4.3<\/a><\/noindex>  with the implementation of DXGI, Direct3D 10, and Direct3D 11 on top of the Vulkan API. The new release features a new state cache file format, significantly reducing file size (the cache format will be automatically converted when updating from older releases). Efforts have been made to reduce CPU load in games with a large number of different shaders.
