The latest version comes with a new Zabbix agent written in Go, sets standards for Zabbix templates, and provides enhanced visualization capabilities.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"What&#039;s new in Zabbix 4.4\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/6d291719d54ffbf15c7618746f066f3f.jpeg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nLet's take a look at the most important features included in Zabbix 4.4. <br \/>\n<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" name=\"habracut\"><\/a><\/noindex><br \/>\n<b>Next-generation Zabbix agent<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"What&#039;s new in Zabbix 4.4\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/35931df23db94e01b5a4a7891ac35bf1.jpeg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nZabbix 4.4 introduces a new type of agent, zabbix_agent2, which offers a wide range of new capabilities and advanced monitoring features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Written in Go.<\/li>\n<li>A plugin framework for monitoring various services and applications.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain state between checks (e.g., maintain persistent connections to databases).<\/li>\n<li>Built-in scheduler to support flexible time intervals.<\/li>\n<li>Efficient network usage through the transfer of large volumes of data.<\/li>\n<li>Currently, the agent runs on Linux, but we will soon make it available for other platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\u2192 For a complete list of new features, see <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zabbix.com\/documentation\/4.4\/manual\">the documentation<\/a><\/noindex><\/p>\n<p><b>NB!<\/b> The existing Zabbix agent will still be supported.<\/p>\n<p>\u2192 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zabbix.com\/download\">Download<\/a><\/noindex> <\/p>\n<p><b>Webhooks and programmable action\/notification logic<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Significantly improved integration with external alerting and ticketing systems, allowing all processing logic to be defined using an embedded JavaScript engine. This functionality simplifies bidirectional integration with external systems, enabling one-click access from the Zabbix user interface to a record in your ticketing system, generating chat messages, and more.<\/p>\n<p><b>Setting standards for Zabbix templates<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We introduced a series of standards and clearly defined <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zabbix.com\/documentation\/4.4\/manual\/appendix\/templates\/template_guidelines?fbclid=IwAR09Conp6ijpP5REJAvdZsdXy4IExpGHnz33-BymKplocnRqFiN_4_y_ReA\">guidelines<\/a><\/noindex> for creating templates. <\/p>\n<p>The structure of XML\/JSON files has been significantly simplified, allowing templates to be edited manually using only a text editor. Most existing templates have been upgraded to comply with the new standards.<\/p>\n<p><b>Official support for TimescaleDB<\/b><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"What&#039;s new in Zabbix 4.4\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/8e02f97e79de1e3a5d3b1896fec60d2c.jpeg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\nIn addition to MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DB2, we now officially support TimescaleDB.
