The official Telegram channel of the Russian Fedora community announced announced<\/a><\/noindex> the cessation of localized builds of the distribution, previously released under the name Russian Fedora (RFR). It is reported<\/a><\/noindex>, indicating that the Russian Fedora project has fulfilled its purpose: all of its developments have been accepted into the official Fedora repositories and the RPM Fusion repository. The maintainers of Russian Fedora are now maintainers of Fedora and RPM Fusion, and user and package support will continue under the main Fedora project.<\/p>\n

Existing users of Russian Fedora 29 (Russian Fedora 30 was not created) need to convert their installation to a regular Fedora and disable repositories specific to Russian Fedora:<\/p>\n

sudo dnf swap rfremix-release fedora-release --allowerasing
\n sudo dnf swap rfremix-logos fedora-logos --allowerasing
\n sudo dnf remove \"russianfedora*\"
\n sudo dnf distro-sync --allowerasing<\/p>\n

After the conversion, you need to upgrade the distribution to the latest version:<\/p>\n
