Workstations and servers based on Russian processors are currently in demand in the public sector, in education and healthcare, in large businesses, and among law enforcement agencies \u2013 in all organizations that implement large-scale import substitution programs.<\/p>\n<p>Domestic operating systems are now available simultaneously for seven Russian and foreign hardware platforms for the first time. Now the \"Alt\" OS works on <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/altlinux.org\/ports\">the following processors<\/a><\/noindex>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> &lt;&lt;<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/mirror.yandex.ru\/altlinux\/p9\/images\/workstation\/\">ALT Workstation 9<\/a><\/noindex>\" \u2013 for x86 (Intel 32 and 64-bit), AArch64 (NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer kit, Raspberry Pi 3, and others), e2k\/e2kv4 (\"Elbrus\"), mipsel (\"Tavolga Terminal\");\n<li class=\"l\"> &lt;&lt;<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/mirror.yandex.ru\/altlinux\/p9\/images\/server\/\">ALT Server 9<\/a><\/noindex>\" \u2013 for x86 (32 and 64-bit), AArch64 (Huawei Kunpeng, ThunderX, and others), ppc64le (YADRO Power 8 and 9, OpenPower), e2k\/e2kv4 (\"Elbrus\");\n<li class=\"l\"> &lt;&lt;<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/mirror.yandex.ru\/altlinux\/p9\/images\/education\/\">ALT Education 9<\/a><\/noindex>\" \u2013 for x86 (Intel 32 and 64-bit), AArch64 (NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer kit, Raspberry Pi 3, and others).\n<\/ul>\n<p>For each architecture, the build is performed natively, without using cross-compilation.<\/p>\n<p>In the near future, \"Basalt SPO\" plans to release the distribution <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/altlinux.org\/server-v\">\"Alt Server B 9\".<\/a><\/noindex>A beta version of the product is already available and accessible for testing on x86_64, AArch64 (\"Baikal-M\", Huawei Kunpeng), ppc64le (YADRO Power 8\/9, OpenPower). Distributions are also being prepared for release <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.altlinux.org\/Alt_Workstation_K_9\">\"Alt Workstation K\"<\/a><\/noindex> with KDE Plasma environment and <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/ftp.altlinux.org\/pub\/distributions\/ALTLinux\/p9\/images\/simply\/\">Simply Linux<\/a><\/noindex> for home users across various hardware platforms. <\/p>\n<p>Users of distributions built on <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/altlinux.org\/p8\">the Eighth platform<\/a><\/noindex> (p8), can <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/altlinux.org\/update\/p9\">update<\/a><\/noindex> system from the p9 branch of the \"Sisyphus\" repository. For new corporate users, there is an option to obtain test versions, and private users are traditionally offered to download the required version of the \"Alt\" OS for free from the \"Basalt SPO\" website or from the new download site <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/getalt.org\/ru\">getalt.ru<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<p>Options for \"Elbrus\" processors are available at <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/basealt.ru\/about\/contact\">written request<\/a><\/noindex> from legal entities that have signed an NDA with AO MCST.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to expanding the range of hardware platforms, a number of other significant improvements have been implemented for the OS distributions of \"Alt\" version 9.0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> RPM has added support for rpmlib(FileDigests), which will allow the installation of third-party packages (Yandex.Browser, Google Chrome, and others) without repackaging, along with many other improvements;\n<li class=\"l\"> The LibreOffice office suite is available in two versions: Still for corporate customers and Fresh for experimenters and advanced users;\n<li class=\"l\"> A unified samba package is available (for regular workstations, servers, and Active Directory domain controllers);\n<li class=\"l\"> Support for current GOST algorithms has been implemented.\n<\/ul>\n<p>Work on porting ALT distributions to new hardware platforms continues. In particular, the release of versions for systems on <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\"
